Dr. Carlos Chacon

Dr. Carlos Chacon was born in Tuscon, Arizona, to first-generation Mexican Americans. His parents were Mexican immigrants from small towns in Sonora. he has lived in California for nearly two decades.

While living in Arizona, he earned his Bachelor of Science in Physiological Science from the University of Arizona. Three years later, he enrolled in the University of Arizona's College of Medicine and earned his Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D.).

In 2005, he studied neurodegenerative diseases at the Università Degli Studi di Firenze in Florence, Italy. In 2005, he became a Resident in the Department of General Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. By 2008, he had shifted his focus to the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery while remaining a Resident at the University of California, San Francisco. In 2010, he was named Chief Resident for the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

He earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management while a Resident. Following his Residency, he was awarded a 12-month Fellowship from the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) at the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine. As a USC Fellow, he received advanced training in Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Breast Surgery, Revision Surgery, and Cosmetic Dermatology. During his fellowship, he also learned non-surgical procedures and how to use laser tools.
